Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using the Jakada platform (“Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Jakada is a marketplace that connects clients (“Clients”) with independent service providers (“Taskers”) for domestic and personal tasks. Jakada is not a party to any agreement between Client and Tasker beyond facilitating the booking and payment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering you confirm you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

4. Bookings and payments

  • Prices are displayed inclusive of the Jakada platform fee.
  • Payment is processed via Stripe (card) or PayPal. No payment is taken until a booking is confirmed.
  • Refunds are issued in accordance with our cancellation policy communicated at checkout.
  • Jakada disburses the tasker’s portion of the fee after task completion, less applicable platform fees.

5. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a scheduled task receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a partial charge to compensate the Tasker.

6. Tasker conduct

Taskers are independent contractors, not employees of Jakada. Jakada vets Taskers (ID verification, guarantors) but does not guarantee the outcome of any task.

7. Client responsibilities

  • Provide accurate task details at booking.
  • Ensure safe and lawful access to the task location.
  • Treat Taskers with respect and in accordance with applicable law.

8. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to book tasks that are illegal, dangerous, or that violate the rights of others. Jakada reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its discretion.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jakada’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount paid by you for the booking in question. Jakada is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Dispute resolution

For disputes between Clients and Taskers, contact support@jakada.io. Jakada will act as a neutral facilitator but is not obligated to resolve disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

11. Modifications

Jakada may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
